Halsketting van grote paperclips. Necklace made of big paperclips

Bij Clas Ohlon in Zweden kocht ik mega paperclips. Toen al dacht eraan er een halsketting van te maken. Voor ongeveer 4 euro kocht ik er 10. Dit weekend verbond ik ze met aluminium draad.

At Clas Ohson in SwedenI bought jumbo paper clips. At that time I already planned to make a necklace out of them. They cost about 4 euro per 10. This weekend I connected them with aluminium wire.

 Om een veiligheisspeld wikkelde ik aluminiumdraad.

I winded the aluminium wire around a safety pin.

Kralenviltje januari. Beaded Januari felt.

Eventjes de juiste volgorde: eerst een viltje maken.

To keep the right order: first I made a piece of felt.

 

Daarna was ik zó haastig er kralen op te maken, dat ik vergat er een papiertje achterop te maken.

Because I was so eager to start beading I forgot the paper backing...

Maar ook zonder papier ging het borduren goed. Ik moet er nog een speld achter maken en de draden bedekken met wat nieuw vilt.

But it worked out well without the paper backing. Ik have to attach a pin and cover the treads with some new felt.

Hoewel de kleuren nóg niet helemaal goed zijn is het met daglicht al een stuk beter.

Though the colours aren't perfect yet, the daylaight photo is already much better.

Na het kralenproject van BJP2013 ga ik nu meedoen aan BJP2014. BJP2014 is niet meer een blog, maar een facebookgroep. Dat gaat toch iets sneller qua reacties enzo. Het werkt heel stimulerend.

Ik ga eerst "rondjes" vilten en daarna met kralen bedekken. De viltjes verschillen steeds een beetje van kleur..

After the bead project BJP2013 I joined BJP2014. BJP2014 is no longer a blog but it is on facebook. It works a little faster but also very stimulating. First I'll felt "circles" and then I'll cover them with beads. The circles have slihtly different colours.

Hier zijn de viltjes nog nat, dus de kleur zal iets lichter worden.

The colours you see here are a bit darker than the dried versions will be.

De gele valt een beetje uit de toon, maar betekent dus een extra uitdaging voor me. Hieronder een foto in helder daglicht.

Blauwe en gele kralen heb ik gebruikt bij deze armband.

Dodecagoon Dodecagon

Voor december, de twaalfde maand, heb ik een dodecagoon gemaakt. Wikipedia beschrijft m mooi en legt zelfs uit hoe je m kunt construeren. De twaalfhoek die we allemaal kennen is de klok. Die heb ik dan ook met kralen gemaakt, met de wijzers op vijf vóór twaalf.

December is the twelfth month, so I made a dodecagon. Wikipedia explains it and even gives the way to construct one. The twelve angle we all know is the clock. I beaded one with the hands on five minutes to twelve.

Zeg maar elfhoek, niet een woord dat ik dagelijks gebruik...

Just say eleven-angle/gon, not exactly the vocabulair of my daily life.

EINDELIJK is mijn novemberbijdrage voor mijn kralenclub klaar. Nu "snel" mijn decemberbijdrage maken.

Now "fast" forward to make my December project.

Sjaal Shawl

Voor Irene heb ik "eventjes" een meer dan twee meter lange sjaal gebreid (maar 5 cm breed). Het past bij haar mosterdgele vest

For Irene I "just" knitted a two meter shawl (only 5 cm wide). It will fit to her mustard yellow cardigan.
